10km Recovery run this morning.
After a hard run session on Sunday I've had sore calves. Commonly called DOMs-Delayed onset muscle soreness, thanks to micro tears and general irritation in my calf muscles. Classically I've been limping about with really tight and sore calves so i thought I'd try a gentle run today.
After a light warm up and some gentle dynamic exercises I set off, a little uncomfortable for the first couple of kilometres but the legs soon loosen up and I had a really pleasant run.
Recovery runs - great for getting you moving again, adding volume to your week and allowing you to enjoy your running.
